Two hours of live Irish music and dance. Student events run from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The Irish Dance Party is a lively two-hour cultural activity designed for international students, language schools, educational tours and school groups visiting Dublin. Students watch award-winning Irish dancers perform, listen to traditional Irish music and then learn three simple céilí dances themselves.
A talented musician and entertainer hosts the session with traditional Irish songs, live instruments and stories connected to Irish culture.
Students watch award-winning professional dancers perform choreographed Irish dance routines up close.
Professional dancers teach three simple Irish céilí dances using clear, beginner-friendly steps.
Throughout the session, the performers explain elements of Irish music, dancing, instruments and traditions in a light and entertaining way.

Impressive that one musician (Jim) could carry the music part by self, a tiny shame the dancers songs weren't live (I heard fiddler as well) but I understand the Monday Matinee show was probably not that capacity and the evening show has more musicians. Still very nice. Some kids at the weren't as into it but some were as well. Student groups and individuals include different ages, English levels, confidence levels and cultural backgrounds. The host explains clearly, the dancers demonstrate visually and the activity gives every student a comfortable way to listen, watch or take part.
No dance experience is needed. Every step is demonstrated for complete beginners.

Yes. The dances are designed for first-time participants and taught slowly as a group. Students can follow the demonstrations without previous dance experience or specialist fitness.
